Mistley I v Halstead Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI on Sat 01 Jul 2017 at 13.00
Halstead Cricket Club Lost by 2 runs

Match report Halstead fell agonisingly two-runs short in a high-scoring affair at Mistley.
James Stamatis (81) and I. Morton (51*) both hit half centuries as the hosts scored 268-6 from their 50 overs.
South African Stamatis was in blistering form early on as he and James Garwood (11) put on 76 runs inside 13 overs after being put in to bat by Halstead.
Stamatis passed 50 before the partnership was broken by Chris Rayner, bowling Garwood.
It looked like it could be a long day in the field for the visitors as Stamatis struck the ball cleanly on his way to 14 fours and 2 sixes, but Sam Walter picked up the prized wicket with the scores on 108, Joe Morris taking the catch.
Matthew Bibby (14) joined J. Scott (20) and the pair added a further 25 runs before becoming Walter and Rayner’s second victims respectively.
Both men were caught behind by Sam Chapman as the hosts fell from 133-2 to 133-4.
Chapman and Walter combined to dismiss Goff (13) and Stockton (23) was run out by Joe Morris, but an unbroken stand of 54 from Morton (51) and Dove (28) meant Mistley finished on a fine 268-6.
Chris Huntington hit 11 fours and a six in a 33 ball 55 at the top of the Halstead reply, ably supported by Graham Wickes (36) as the left-handers set about the chase, putting on 77 inside 13 overs.
Huntington’s dismissal – the first of 4 for Scott – sparked a minor collapse as Neale Dakin (6), Josh Wells (12) and Wickes were all dismissed to leave Halstead at 111-4.
Chapman (35) and Rayner (37) rebuilt steadily and moved the scores on before Chapman fell to Stamatis, Joe Morris (13) soon followed to make it 185-6.
Ed Clark (45) was belligerent alongside first Chris Rayner and then Adam Morris (5), but it was his partnership with Sam Walter (15) that gave the visitors hope.
Scott returned to bowl the last over, with Halstead needing 5 to win it was Mistley who came out on top, taking the wickets of Clark and Walter to win by 2 runs.
