Match report Mistley's Dylan Day's 5-wicket haul set-up Halstead for a disappointing defeat at Star Stile.

Making use of a pitch that gave encouragement to the bowlers, Day took 5-47 as plenty of host players got starts.

Dave Baalham (38) top scored as Mistley restricted Halstead to 158-8 from 45 overs.

The hosts got off to a wonderful start in reply, Stevens was dismissed by Justin Rose first ball before Churchill and Garwood fell to Lewis Brennan to leave Mistley reeling at 16-3.

Scott-Lyon and Everett rebuilt the innings in a partnership that turned the game. The former was dropped on 0 on his way to an unbeaten 70.

The latter made 42 before Callum Hansey dismissed him to give the hosts hope, but a further two drops of Scott-Lyon meant Halstead couldn't take their chance to win and remain in dire straits at the bottom of Division Three.
