Halstead Cricket Club

Dear Club Member,

You may or may not know that in August 2016 two young club members, Luke Robinson (3rd XI) and Wajahat Bukhari (1st XI) will be embarking on the tour of a lifetime to Barbados to represent the Essex Boys and Girls Clubs U18 Cricket Team.

Whilst out there they will play three 40 over matches and one T20 round robin against local schools.  They will also be doing charity work for the St. Alban's Primary School on the West coast of the Island, helping with coaching the children in the afternoons, and  in the mornings helping to refurbish classrooms and outdoor spaces of the school which have fallen into serious disrepair.

The trip will broaden the experiences of both Luke and Waj in terms of their cricketing ability, and their life in general!

It would be wonderful if the club could really get behind them with this adventure, as it will likely reap rewards for Halstead CC on the field of play in the future!

In order to go on the trip the players must fund-raise £1,740 each!
