Halstead Cricket Club

Halstead Cricket Club are delighted to announce that after a tremendous amount of hard work from members of its committee, they have been successful in their Mi Community bid and have been awarded £25,000 by Braintree District Council for the provision of new artificial nets.

The committee would particularly like to thank those of its members who were kind enough to fill out a club questionnaire to help support the application.

I'm sure you will all agree that this is a welcome boost going into the new season.

In terms of the time scale, the committee is in the process of submitting planning permission for the addition of a 3rd bay, which will hopefully be granted within 6-8 weeks, and then building work can begin.  We should be able to give you a better idea of when the nets will be up and running in the next couple of weeks.
