Beginning on Friday 27th March and running through the weekend Saturday & Sunday 28th/29thMarch) Trevor Cooper is organizing a three day working party up at Star Style, with the backing of the England Cricket Board (an initiative called ‘Cricket Force’ to which we have added our name along with over 1200 other cricket clubs). Sponsored by Jewsons Builders’ Merchants the scheme is designed to get members and friends to meet at their grounds over a weekend to carry out essential refurbishment & maintenance tasks.
The progamme of necessary pre-season work is set out below and continues for through the weekend, so please factor in a visit to Star Style at some stage in these three days to show up and help. The list of tasks needed to be completed in the three day period are listed very below:
• Clean down sightscreens using power washer and then repaint the metal frames
• Rub down scoreboard and repaint
• Paint entrance gate
• Paint storage containers
• Re-decorate all changing rooms and umpires room.
