Match report Coggeshall II ran out victors at Star Stile, completing the double for Coggeshall sides on the day. Batting first they racked up the runs, with Lloyd Edwards (75), Ben Chaplin (49) and Charlie Green (41) leading the way. This was despite the efforts of Simon Steel, who bowled 11 overs for just 34 runs, taking three wickets in the process. George Edwards (2-47) was the next best bowler. Coggeshall closed on 259-9.

In reply, a few Halstead batsmen got starts, but could not kick on to get the big scores they needed. Ian Pont (36) and Brian Coleman (21)got the innings off to a decent start, but Halstead were always behind the rate. David Baalham (30) and George Edwards (20*) added runs through the order, but Halstead fell 76 runs short. Closing on 183-8.
