Match report Tight bowling from Halstead's bowlers, in particular Dean Feneysey saw Coggeshall get off to a slow start. The last 10 overs however saw a flurry of runs from the Coggeshall lower order meaning that at the end of 50 overs Coggeshall had posted a target of 216 for 8 from 50 overs.

After a confident start from Halstead's openers Coggeshall came back into it with two wickets in two balls, removing both openers with the score on 21. Charlie Douglas-Hughes (48) and Freddie Preston (49) at 3 and 4 respectively, saw to it that a collapse didn't ensue with a 107 run partnership before the Preston was caught at mid-wicket with the score on 128, then Douglas-Hughes played on leaving Halstead at 134-4. A mini collapse saw Halstead soon reduced to 141-6 but some level headed batting from Mark Johnson (22) and Digby Harding (42*) brought Halstead within touching distance when Johnson was clean bowled with the score at 190. Ed Merry, in at 9, batted calmly and capitalised on the bad balls as he and Digby Harding, who batted superbly, saw the win out.
