Match report The third eleven secured Halstead's first Saturda win of the season, with a comprehensive victory over Lakenheath II.

David Rawlinson (47) scored well at the top of the order as Halstead looked relatively untroubled from the outset. A mini wobble ensued prior to Ben Morris (86*) and Simon Rippingale (64*) coming to the crease. The pair added over 100 runs without loss as 13 year old Morris scored his maiden senior half century alongside stalwart Rippingale. Halstead closed on 263-4.

Lakenheath never really threatened in reply. They lost early wickets to the bowling of Justin Rose (1-26) and Andrew Jones (3-52). The Palmer family added a valuable proportion of Lakenheath's total between the three of them in the middle of the order. But tight bowling from Jones and Callum Hansey kept them well behind the rate. Young spinners Ben Roper (3-26) and Harry Pritchard (2-21) took the last five wickets quickly to give Halstead victory.
