Match report Halstead's third eleven were well beaten at home to Brockley II on a day when winning the toss was paramount.

They lost the toss and were asked to bat, but with only three batsmen reaching double figures, David Rawlinson (22) top scoring, they were never up to pace with setting a good target. Excellent spells from the opening bowlers Hill and Webb kept run scoring at a minimum as wickets were shared around with Halstead 81 all out.

Knowing they had plenty of time in which to get the runs always helped Brockley. Both openers scoring 19, whilst Goddard (28 n. o.) was there to see them across the line. Halstead bowled tightly, Callum Hansey taking 2-20, but never had the runs on the board to compete.
