Halstead made it three wins out of four at the weekend courtesy of big knocks from Charlie Douglas-Hughes (102) and Josh Wells (50).

Batting first was imperative and Halstead were quickly in trouble, sinking to 23-2, but Douglas-Hughes and Wells put on 109 for the third wicket.

Harry Pritchard (19) once again rotated the strike, this time for Douglas-Hughes to bring up his hundred. Digby Harding (24) and Mark Surridge (20no) added valuable runs to the end of the innings.

Maldon's dangermen were certainly their openers, C. Harris (82) and M. Coker (18). The pair played a shot a ball as they raced on, prior to Harding bowling Coker.

R. Walpole (23) rode his luck and although Halstead were taking wickets, Harris was still at the crease. Ben Roper would be the man to dismiss him, turning the tide firmly in Halstead's favour.

Harding (4-15) bowled superbly as Halstead closed out another Sunday win.
