Match report Bury St Edmunds' IIs beat their Halstead counterparts by 5 wickets with 9 balls to go at Star Stile.

Justin Rose (49) scored well at the top of the Halstead order before a Simon Steel (81) onslaught - including two maximums over the pavilion - pushed the hosts to 208 all out in the 44th over. B Whittaker took 7-64 in two impressive spells.

Hugh Stanton (55) received strong support from P. Godden (46) and Josh Toon (34) as Bury controlled their chase. The spin of Mark Surridge (3-80 off 15) and Ian Pont (1-24 off 11.3) settled in for a long, unchanged spell but Bury comfortably got home.
