Match report Justin Rose's unbeaten century saw the 3s to a comfortable victory in their curtain raiser at Felixstowe on Saturday.

The opener carried his bat from number one for 108 runs, supported in partnerships of 67 with Taylor Nicholson (23), 21 with Dave Brooker (13), 26 with Simon Rippingale (2) and 99* with mark Harris (37*).

Home skipper Jamie Burrows (11-2-30-2) claimed the scalps of Brooker and Rippingale - both LBW - whilst Nicholson was bowled by Matt Flecknoe (14-1-64-1).

Alex Rippingale (9-1-34-3) took the wickets of the top three before off-spin twins Mark Harris (13-1-49-4) and Ben Roper (11-0-49-2) cleaned up the rest of the hosts' batting line-up to see the 3s to a 48 run victory.

Robert Steel's 44 from number 5 gave the home side a chance, but wickets fell at regular intervals to prevent any meaningful partnerships from getting going.

The 3s make the long trip to Sudbourne Hall on Saturday.
