Match report Another dismal day in North Essex saw the second washout of the weekend.

Gosfield were put into bat by stand in skipper Callum Hansey, who got things off to a good start having Gary Dicker (0) caught at slip by Harry Pritchard.

Aaron Read dismissed Justin Rose (8) and Jeeva Subrahmani (0) before Mark Bloomfield (22) was given lbw to Sam Walter.

Joe Doherty was hit after top edging a short ball, going off with a deep cut to the head before returning to bat at the fall of the third wicket before the localised rain set in for the afternoon and put pay to proceedings.
