Match report A five-wicket haul for Mark Harris and four for Mark Surridge set-up a 7 wicket victory over their Coggeshall counterparts.

Coggeshall batted first at Earls Colne Airfield, with Morgan Whymark (0-10) and Luke Robinson (1-28) bowling well with the new ball, the latter taking the wicket of Wickens for 5.

The hosts scored at 2 an over before the introduction of the Marks – Surridge and Harris – conspired to rip through the Coggeshall order.

G. Wilson (41), J. Wilson (25) and G. Blackwell (19) offered resistance, but both Marks returned their best figures of the season so far with Harris taking 5-42 and Surridge 4-23 as Coggeshall were bowled out for 103.

Taylor Nicholson (29*) continued his fine form with the bat to top score as Halstead surged home with 20 overs to spare.

Gary Dicker (28) and Mark Bloomfield (18) had earlier set-up the innings, but Nicholson and first Sam Hawes (11) and then Charles Mallett (2*) saw the visitors to victory.
