The NECL side made it three wins from three, returning to the top of Division Two after beating Abberton at Star Stile.

Elliott Mann (39), Matt Sullivan (33), Ryan Savill (32) and Brad Mann (29*) all got starts for the visitors, but no one kicked on to make a big score as Abberton finished on 159-8 from their 40 overs.

Josh King (2-10), Sam Walter (2-29), Callum Hansey (2-36), Justin Rose (1-27) and Andy Charlton (1-32) took the wickets, with catches in the field for Harry Pritchard, Charles Mallett and Walter.

Pritchard (41) and Nicholson (20) shared a 46-run opening stand before the pair both fell to the offspin of Will House (2-46).

Mark Johnson (64*) continued the openers' good work and despite the dismissal of Charles Mallett (3) by Chris Southernwood - saw Halstead home alongside Joe Morris (29).
