It is now six from six for the NECL side as they sit top of Division Two with the full 120 points from their fixtures after victory at Great Totham.

The hosts won the toss and batted first, with Joshua (29) and John Chadwick (36) getting off to a lightning start, going at nearly 10 an over for the first six.

Seamers Ed Clark (3-50) and Josh Ruthven (2-43) took the brunt of the attack as the Totham openers exploited the pace on the ball, quick outfield and short boundaries.

Ruthven got the breakthrough when Morgan Whymark held onto a chance at mid-off to dismiss Joshua Chadwick.

Clark proceeded to clean bowl Rob Mutton (4), Joe Davis (0) and John Chadwick, whilst Ruthven had George Baron (3) caught by Goush Raviendran at mid-off.

Josh King (3-33) took the wickets of Will Simpson (15), Ryan Archibald (4) and Matt Clarke (10) in the Totham middle order

Despite Johnathan Hewer's battling 44, both Daniel Quartermarine (11) and Tim Logue (4) fell to Callum Hansey (2-5) to bowl the hosts out for 193.

Goush Raviendran (56) and Sam Walter (47) put on 106 for the first wicket in reply as Halstead raced to three figures, the former passing his half-century before getting bowled by Will Simpson (1-23).

Walter looked in good form but fell three runs short of his 50 as he was bowled by Rob Mutton (1-38), this left Josh Ruthven (62*) and Adam Morris (19*) to see Halstead home with 11 overs to spare, Ruthven hitting five 4s and six 6s as he completed his maiden 50 for the club since joining from Haverhill over the winter.

Morris' men will aim to make it the magnificent seven from seven against Chappel & Wakes Colne on Sunday at Star Stile.
