Halstead got back to winning ways with a 34 run victory over Witham.

Josh Ruthven's 60 was the top-score of the Halstead innings, sharing a 106-run stand with Taylor Nicholson (40) for the opening wicket.

Adam Morris (28) and Matt Cooper (37) added 64 for the 5th wicket, with Ollie Cooke (6-26) taking six wickets and running out Nicholson in an exceptional day in the field for the left-arm spinner.

Forster Mutizwa (41) and Michael Godwin (27) put on a quickfire 62 at the start of the Witham innings, but Joe Morris (4-29) made it ten wickets in the day for left-arm spin, stemming the run flow.

Sam Johnson (1-38), Morgan Whymark (1-37), Josh Ruthven (1-32) and Callum Hansey (0-33) bowled tight spells and were it not for 25 runs from the latter's last two overs, the margin of victory would've been more.

Luke Brown (36), Cooke (33) and Paul Bellehewe (17*) were the main run-scorers in the rest of the Witham innings.
