Match report Halstead - 94-2 - beat Witham - 89 all out - by 8 wickets

Callum Hansey's T20 side made it two from two with a comfortable win over their hosts, Witham on Sunday.

Winning the toss and electing to field the ten men of Halstead started well with Joe Morris (2-8) forcing Michael Headley (7) into a top edge that was comfortably claimed by wicketkeeper Josh Wells.

Michael Godwin (12) was bowled by Josh King (1-20) to make it 20-2 and wickets continued to fall at consistent intervals.

Lewis Brennan (1-15), Callum Hansey (1-20) and two wickets in an over from Morgan Whymark (2-14) dropped the hosts to 64-6, Daniel Atkinson (12) and Ollie Cooke (24) offering the only resistance.

Cooke became the first of three wickets for Graham Wickes (3-11), James Streetley (12) the only other Witham bat to make double figures, before Morris returned to wrap up the innings.

A Billy Moulton-Day (1-5) bouncer took care of Josh King (3) early in Halstead's reply, but measured batting efforts from Matt Cooper (9) and Graham Wickes (10*) kept the score ticking along.

Cooper was bowled round his legs by Ben Tinham (1-28), but Josh Wells (53*) looked impervious and guided Halstead home to a comfortable win.
