Match report The first game of the Tom Sewell Memorial Cup ended in a no result as heavy rain inundated the Wickham Ovalish.

George Pritchard had earlier been on a hat trick having bowled James Tyson (0) and Charles Mallett (0) in successive deliveries. Alan MacDiarmid took the other wicket for the hosts, making use of some variable bounce to trap Neale Dakin (4) lbw with one that kept low.

Joe Morris (20*) and Richard Holman (10*) were in the process of rebuilding when the deluge hit.
