Match report Halstead came out on the wrong end of a 6-run defeat in a low scoring affair at Star Stile.

Woolpit II put together a solid start, with Ju Bradwell (38) and G. Pilgrim (37) reaching 90 for no loss at drinks.

Lewis Brennan (7-1-18-0) and Luke Robinson (7-2-29-0) recovered from loose opening overs to restrict the visitors well.

The introduction of Mark Surridge (15-1-42-2)and Justin Rose (11-0-53-4) saw the tide turn as Halstead took wickets at regular intervals, with Callum Hansey (3.3-0-12-4) ripping through the lower order with the help of two fine catches from Robinson.

Runs continued to be hard to come by in the Halstead reply and would prove to be the hosts' downfall.

Ed Merry (34*) and Ben Roper (24) scored quick runs down the order, but Heldridge and Cloud held their nerve to see Woolpit to a narrow win.
