Match report The second eleven got the only win of the day in the club, as they narrowly beat Yoxford in what is one of the longest away trips of the season.

Rain was in the air and the teams had to leave the pitch at times, but Halstead batted first, securing full bonus points in a total of 203 all out. A partnership of 115 for the third wicket between débutante Adit Pawha (84) and Andy Rose (52) set the stage for the innings. The pair made use of the small boundaries to hit twenty fours and three sixes between them. After rain delay, Halstead's middle and lower order did not make any significant contributions, bar skipper Ian Pont (16). Matt Lincoln the pick of the bowlers with 4-78.

Yoxford's reply had plenty of batsmen getting starts, but with Cook (38) the top scorer, no one went on to get a big score that would have seen them home. Tight spells early on in the innings, one that was opened with spin, kept their opponents in check. Catherine Dalton took two early wickets, before a fifth wicket partnership of 55 between Percival (30) and Cook steadied the Yoxford ship. Ben Morris accounted for the pair. However it would be the Rose brothers, Andy and Justin that did the final damage. Economical spells from them heaped on the pressure and Halstead bowled their opponents out 13 runs short for 190, Justin ending with 3-19.
